FILM REVIEWS
“Glass is one of the most fascinating and beautifully made Australian films I have seen in some time. From the first few images I felt I was seeing something special. It is set in Sydney.
Credit the film's wonderful visuals to the often stunning cinematography of Pieter de Vries. It is his first feature after work in documentaries, notably in Sweat Of the Sun, Tears Of The Moon.
Glass is a thriller, “ a mystery thriller of deceptions and reflections”.
Richard Vickery, played by Allan Lovell, is a rich man with a business empire getting out of the control due to the machinations of others.
The cruel murder of his secretary, Veronica, whose throat is cut by a shard of glass held by an unknown killer, sets the story in high gear.
The convolutions of the story – involving Richard, his devious wife Julie, his new secretary Alison and the lawyer Peter – are keenly managed by directory Chris Kennedy, who wrote the screenplay, and has achieved a remarkably adroit and arresting first feature.” Bill Collins
